This day follows the workshop of the same name organized in October 2019 which covered:
- on the choice of data collection methods in L2 acquisition, in relation to the research objectives;
- on how this choice impacts the data format and the use of tools for data processing in language acquisition.
Following the enthusiasm of the participants last year, the GIS AGM meeting on November 20, 2020 decided to continue this workshop once a year. The format proposed this year is entirely online, and aims to discuss the needs, difficulties and issues of the participants in particular in order to identify the themes for the next editions of the “Tools in L2” workshop.
The day will take place in three stages:
1) presentation of a research project in L2 Acquisition in order to illustrate the dynamics between research and engineering.
2) individual presentations by participants (see the call below) followed by discussions with participants in order to better understand how the network can support them in their training as researchers.
3) demonstration of data processing tools (to be specified based on feedback from the call).
